NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — WME-IMG has picked up the business of one of New York's top talent managers with the acquisition of James Dixon's Dixon Talent.
Dixon represents some key names among comedy performers such as Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel, as well as sports figures such as ESPN's Bill Simmons.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the company will remain a separate entity under the WME-IMG banner
Dixon founded the company in 2001 after more than a decade at William Morris and CAA, and heading up the comedy management operation at Michael Ovitz's Artists Management Group.
“James has built his business on two core philosophies that are intrinsic to WME-IMG: a belief in great talent and applying an entrepreneurial approach to representation,” WME-IMG co-CEO Patrick Whitesell told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement.
