Britney hits the pavement to blast calories. "I run a lot," Britney revealed in a recent Instagram post sharing a few ways she got into shape. Harvard Health supports Britney's fitness habit, maintaining that a 155 pound person running at 10 MPH can burn a whopping 562 calories in 30 minutes. And, per research, it is also effective for building muscle, lowering your risk of heart disease, improving your sleep, and may even promote longevity.

Diet is also an important part of Britney's stay-fit mentality. She explained in her Instagram post that she tries to "eat clean" and be "mindful" with her food. In case you are curious what clean eating entrails, it refers to eating fresh, unprocessed, and wholesome foods—for example, no white flour or sugar. The Mediterranean Diet, consistently ranked the best diet in the world, is a good example of a clean diet.

Britney gives herself room to indulge, "like last night when I ate a container of peanuts," she wrote in her post. A weekly "cheat meal" isn't a bad idea, according to science, "as it can help boost your metabolism and ward off feelings of deprivation—improving not only your ability to lose weight, but your ability to stick to your diet plan as well. A 2017 study published in the International Journal of Obesity found that people on diets who took a two-week break from their low-calorie meal plan were more successful in losing weight than those who dieted consistently," according to our sister site Eat This, Not That!

Britney doesn't encourage being skinny. In fact, after losing a lot of weight she revealed that she prefers to be strong. "And then it hit me … I might look better but I felt too vulnerable in my skin being this small," she explained in her post, adding that she "didn't like it."

Britney boxes. "I started boxing so now I feel stronger too," she admitted. Harvard Health explains that the exercise is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance as well as increase alertness.

Spears is also a fan of yoga and has shared a bunch of videos of herself striking a pose. In one of them, she even does acro yoga with her fiancé Sam Asghari.
