Mississippi State women's basketball's Hayes sisters, Aniya Palmer enter transfer portal

STARKVILLE Mississippi State women's basketball guards Aislynn Hayes, Alasia Hayes and Aniya Palmer have entered the transfer portal, according to a team spokesperson. Coach Sam Purcell has had five players enter the portal since it opened on March 13, including Mia Moore and Charlotte Kohl.

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State women's basketball guards Aislynn Hayes, Alasia Hayes and Aniya Palmer have entered the transfer portal, according to a team spokesperson. Coach Sam Purcell has had five players enter the portal since it opened on March 13, including Mia Moore and Charlotte Kohl.

Aislynn Hayes, a senior, entered the portal on March 31 after not playing this past season due to injury. She appeared in 29 games the prior season after joining as a transfer from Middle Tennessee.

Redshirt sophomore Alasia Hayes also entered the portal on March 31. She appeared in just 10 games this past season while averaging 1.6 points per game. She joined MSU ahead of the 2021-22 season as a transfer from Notre Dame but did not play due to injury.

Aislynn and Alasia Hayes are the sisters of guard Anastasia Hayes, who started 32 games in her final season of eligibility.

The Hayes sisters are from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and attended Riverdale High School.

Palmer didn't take the court for MSU as a true freshman last season. She entered the portal on March 28. Palmer is a native of LaGrange, Georgia, who attended Troup County High School.
